BSAU145e Is Here

It’s been a long time coming, but finally BSAU145e Is Here, it was published on March 1st 2018 and should become law later this year. Compliance for the new 145e format is required within 6 months of it becoming legal, so it will be worth taking note of the main differences between it and the older 145d.
Highlights
- Standard Font Only – no 3D, Inline or Carbon versions
- No Coach Lines - other than solid raised or sunken borders
- Supplier Bottom Lines - must be no higher than 10mm
- British Standard Number - must be a minimum of 3mm high
Our road legal number plate software LG Plates, will be upgraded to reflect these changes in due course.
To comply, new number plates must perform in near infra-red, which means your older printers may need to be upgraded to ensure your plates continue to conform. Further updates will appear here over the coming months, but in the meantime, don’t hesitate to contact Customer Services or your Regional Account Manager with any concerns.
