Here you will find a basic chevron fitting guide suitable for chapter 8 kits or simple vehicle livery.
Note: On receiving your kit please first check that all components are present and nothing is missing.
First remove any badges and logos from the vehicle, do not attempt to apply and cut panels around these.
The surface will need to be solid, clean and free from rust, grease or oil. Wash the surface and allow to completely dry or wipe it dry with a lint free cloth.
A dust free, warm and dry location is required for kit application. This will ensure a good adhesive bond and lowers the drying time.
With the backing paper still on, position all panels in place on the vehicle, use a low tack masking tape or even magnets to hold them in place.
Start from the center and choose a starting panel. Free an individual strip and remove its backing, keeping it away from the surface.
Line up the strip and carefully apply to the surface using a dry sponge or plastic applicator. Like wallpapering, use stokes moving from the center out removing any bubbles and make sure the edges are stuck down.
Continue fitting one at a time until all strips and all panels are applied.
Check for bubbles and lifted edges before removing any excess material using a snap-off blade. Using a snap-off knife allows regular blade changes to keep a sharp edge for cutting.
Wipe down with a clean dry cloth and refit the badges and logos on the vehicle.
