We provide a range of substrates used for manufacturing our temporary road signs plates.
The type of substrate material chosen effects the signs durability, pricing and lead times when placing a order.
Zintec is electro-zinc coated steel sheet. This coating protects the sign from corrosion and is likely to last longer than standard steel.
Foamex is a lightweight foam board coated with multi-layered paper liners. Signs made in this are suitable for indoor use or short-term outdoor.
Corex is a lightweight corrugated plastic that offers impact protection and is waterproof. Corex signs are suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
Composite consists of thin aluminium faces bonded to a solid polyethylene core. An excellent material for traffic signs, it is very versatile and is capable of being routed.
Black plastic is an extremely tough, durable plastic. Signs made with it have excellent resistance to impacts, flexing, water and chemicals.
Polyplate is a man-made material that can be refaced without bending or warping. If dropped signs made using it will not damage as easily as those made using composite or zintec substrates.
We offer a range of frames to match our sign faces, all frames are durable and easy to use. The frames fold flat for easy transport and come coated to prevent rust. Sign plates can be permanently riveted to frames or temporarily attached using clips and fixings.
Our frames come with a choice of set leg lengths.
Manufacturing our signs in house allows us to meet any standards and guidelines for temporary road signs.
