Plate Details

When using the RNPS Log to keep DVLA compliant records, enter information on the current number plate being made using the Plate Details tab. So your records are correct, ensure you fill out any yellow fields with the relevant data.

The first tab Plate is where the data for the registration, date, sales info and thumbnail image are created. You can save a new record at any time, using the records menu.

Registration Number

The Registration number, is the only field required for a compliant record. Ordinarily, if you’ve already used the builder, this field will already be populated. Otherwise type the registration into the empty field. The records date is taken from the host Windows operating system.

Sales Details

Next is the sales data, where you select who is making the sale and how payment is taken. Simply click the box and select an option from the drop down. Below that, is a field used to enter a document number. Which is useful if you have another system you want to your link records to.

Plate Thumbnail

Last up, is the number plate thumbnail which provides a quick visual summary of the actual number plate. This feature extracts data from the plates builder to generate an image for the record. If it’s empty or needs updating, click the Auto Fill button.
