Matched Components – Specification
To make a legal number plate, you have to design, print and assemble it. If you follow our precise specification, your plates will comply with our BSAU145e Certification. But only if you match specific components together, using one certified supplier for your equipment and media.
Film Plates – Scope Series
Our Scope Series uses a LED Printer and settings to print Film Number Plates. This specification has you print on to Clear Film, which is coated with a bonding agent. And then laminate that film on top a rigid EnviroPlate backing, with a reflective face to meet regulations.
3-Part Plates – Scope Series
Of course printing onto film also allows you to make 3-Part Plates. Which means sandwiching your Printed Film between an Acrylic Face and Wet Reflective backing sheet. This results in a superior, high-quality number plate that complies with standards.
Reflective Plates – Optima & Scope Series
Whereas both our Scope & Optima Series can produce Reflective Number Plates. Here you print directly onto a Dry Reflective sheet. And then laminate a Clear Acrylic Face on top, for protection & durability. In fact, this construction is the industry standard method.
Custom Plate Options
Because our Trade Solutions have a greater capacity, you get more options. To start there’s the Scope’s colour ability on film, which means you can print flags & show-plates on demand. Not to mention matching your Supplier Identifier to your branding, using colour and fonts. In addition, both systems can use larger media sizes to make shaped number plates. Which requires you to trim an oversized sheet down to match a shaped backing or face.
Technical Support
Finally there’s our Technical Support, which mixes a cost-effective balance of remote and on-site support. Including online software updates and bug-fixes, so you remain compliant with DVLA Rules. And on-site visits for more critical issues covered by your Service Level Agreement.
