Customer Support Technician Vacancy

Internal Service Support

Location: New Basford, Nottingham, NG7 7JN – Office Based
Hours: Full Time, Permanent: 40 hours per week
Salary: CE £26,000 Dependent upon experience

Vacancy Details

Are you someone who has the ability to provide technical information in a non-technical way? If you do, and you are also comfortable talking with customers over the phone, this role is for you. Tennants UK is looking for an Internal Service Support individual who has excellent communication skills and can provide remote technical support to customers as part of the Customer Service team.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide customers with remote technical support for simple technical and printer issues, including installation, servicing and repairs.
  • Remote onto customers’ PC to diagnose faults and issues.
  • Prepare printers, laptops and other equipment for implementation on site, including patching.
  • Take and accurately process orders via phone or email taking a ‘right first time’ approach to the information that is provided and processed.
  • Issue licence activation codes, and field remote technical support queries.
  • Liaise closely with other departments to ensure customer requirements and deadlines are met.
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly over the telephone.
  • Strong organisational skills, including a desire for accuracy and an attention to detail.
  • The ability to self-manage yourself and your workload.
  • Previous experience in a helpdesk or customer service background.
  • A natural ability and interest in solving problems.
  • Strong IT literacy, particularly with the MS Office Suite.
  • The ability to absorb and retain a comprehensive knowledge of the range of products offered to customers.

You may also have experience in the following: Helpdesk Support, Customer Service, Technical Helpdesk, 1st-line Technical Support.

Customer Service Engineer Vacancy

Service and Support Technician

Location: New Basford Nottingham, NG7 7JN – Field/Office Based

If you love solving software and technical related problems for non-technical people, and have the ability to provide technical information in a non-technical way, this role is for you. The role is ideal for someone who has been in a help-desk based support role, but who is looking to develop their support for others by visiting customers on site and solving their software and printing system problems first hand. Tennants UK is looking for a Service and Support Technician with strong organisational skills and excellent communication to join their Customer Service team.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide on-site and remote technical support including installation, servicing and repairs.
  • Prepare printers, laptops and other equipment for implementation on site.
  • Schedule own customer visits and prepare the equipment to be provided (office based activity).
  • Prioritise and schedule customer service visits.
  • On non-visit days, contribute to the Customer Service team activities, including taking and accurately processing customer orders via phone or email.
  • Provide remote technical support over the telephone on office-based days.
  • Liaise closely with other departments to ensure customer requirements and deadlines are met.
Requirements:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of printer, software and PC related offerings.
  • The ability to self-manage yourself and your workload.
  • Strong organisational skills, including a desire for accuracy and an attention to detail.
  • Excellent telephone and face to face communication skills.
  • The ability to absorb and retain a comprehensive knowledge of the range of products offered to customers.
  • Strong IT literacy.
  • A valid UK driving licence and be able to drive.
  • A willingness to stay away overnight on occasion.
  • Good geographical awareness for planning on-site visits.

You may have previous experience as: Service Repair Technician, Product Support technician, Technical Support Specialist, Technical support Engineer, Field Service Technician, Computer Technician, Helpdesk Technician, Helpdesk Technical Support, IT Service Desk Support.
