Our Baseline solution enables sign shops to make fully compliant Advance Warning Signs that meet TSRGD regulations. The online software creates AWS signs based on actual road speeds and legal x-heights. Based on sign content, it sets out the layout & overall size, producing downloadable designs for in-house manufacture. Baseline helps you ensure AWS compliance & reduces liability.
To help streamline AWS production, we’ve packaged Baseline software, compatible plotters & certified films together. The package features a Mimaki Plotter, natively compatible with our software and ORALITE reflective, helping to ensure design compliance, reflectivity and cost-efficient manufacture.

Software Features
Baseline software is compliance-led, meaning it integrates TSRGD regulatory standards to improve road safety through highly visible signs. By defaulting to legal x-heights based on road speed, it sets the Transport Heavy font’s size & spacing. Design options include pre-formatted sign elements such as symbols, characters, times & dates. There are guides on improving readability, invalid formats (such as slashed dates), and to provide guidance on dates and times.
The software uses permission levels to set access to sign design & schedules. This managerial oversight regulates who is responsible for designing signs and setting work schedules. Schedules can also work as a library by grouping related signs. Limit access to download files only, stop unauthorised design & reduce liability. A records log stores all user actions for transparency; the data includes user name, time & date, action taken & IP address.

Baseline Package
Tennants can cover your on-site fabrication of advance warning signs with our Baseline Package. This bundle includes compliant software that controls sign layout, characters, spacing & symbols. We also provide Mimaki plotters, fully compatible with the software & classed as reflective cutters. As distributors, we supply ORALITE Lettering Films & Reflective certified for traffic signs. For a sign plate substrate, Enviroplate is made from 100% recycled ABS & is glass-fibre-free for safety.
Design Software
Our TM software helps customers design a compliant advance warning sign, assign it to a schedule or download it as an EPS or PDF file. Sign options also highlight invalid formats and provide tips to help users navigate the design process.
Access to the software requires a fee or trade agreement.
Mimaki Plotter
For producing your AWS sign, we recommend a Mimaki Plotter as it is compatible with our software, lettering & reflective film. Based on your chosen setup, work with single reflective sheets or reduce interaction and choose rolls instead.
Note: Our Mimaki plotters can only be purchased & not rented.
Film & Sign Plates
Tennants can provide certified ORALITE® reflective & lettering films for UK traffic signs, perfect for AWS signs. To make your sign plates, we suggest our own Enviroplate substrate, a 100& recycled ABS sheet with impressive long-term durability.
