Customer Service Support Operative

We are looking for a Customer Service Support Operative to perform on-site installations and deliver technical services for our number plate printing solutions. This position also includes in-office CS duties, such as order entry, dealing with CRM cases and providing remote technical support to customers.

Join our Customer Service Team!

We are a long established manufacturer and distributor of products to the automotive and traffic management markets. This role will be working within the Number Plate Customer Service Team and requires time to be split between our office and out on-site visiting customers. A Pool Vehicle will be supplied and the successful candidate will need a Full UK Driving Licence.

Reporting to the Customer Service Manager this person will need to have previously held a technical support role, ideally with some PC and Printer experience. They’ll also need to have excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, be a great communicator, be prepared to learn new skills, and demonstrate that they have an enthusiastic can do attitude to the work place.

Job Outline
  • Provide planned on-site service & maintenance visits for customers based on service level.
  • Manage own CRM calendar and book on-site visits across assigned accounts from a master schedule.
  • Log all completed visits and successful tasks in a timely manner using the CRM.
  • Deliver urgent on-site support when remote assistance via phone or online is unsuccessful.
  • Monitor support vehicle stocks, booking replacements with the CS Manager and recording used parts.
  • Book in and quarantine recovered laptops and printers from customer sites for re-work or disposal.
  • Provide on-site installation and operator training of our number plate printing systems.
  • Prepare printers and laptops ready for installation on new customer sites.
  • Be a pro active member of the CS team while delivering technical support and performing standard office duties.
  • Monitor and resolve CRM cases, place customer orders on Sage, take phone calls and answer emails.
  • Complete any task submitted by the CS Manager that helps the team to perform their duties.

The successful candidate will receive Training on our systems and equipment and join a well-established, ever-growing team. You will need a keen eye for detail, be able to work independently and take pride in your work. As well as having excellent reliability, integrity, punctuality and attendance.
