3 Number Plate MOT Test Failure Reasons
1: Incorrect Fixings
Fixing screws and bolts should not be within 10mm of the Registration. Because they may prevent or distort it’s easy identification by ANPR Cameras.
2: Plate Deterioration
Delamination, damage or fading of the number plate or its elements from wear and tear. Modern number plates are certified for a 3 year lifecycle.
3: Registration Layout
The Registration number must use the correct format and spacing, be a solid black in colour and be in the prescribed legal font – Charles Wright.
