Despite being a small company, we always find the time each year for some charity work. Not only does it help a worthy cause, but it often brings people together.
Over the years we’ve supported many official charities and good causes. Of course, it’s only natural to want to help when you hear people are in need. And we’ve been lucky enough to support some great causes. Below you will find a taste of what we’ve done recently.

Nethergate Academy
This year we are supporting our local Nethergate Academy, who’s approach really impressed us during a visit. So we’ll be providing them some support throughout 2023 with fundraising, donated time and special products. Together with offering students work experience, factory tours and talks on the working environment.
Nethergate Academy provides high-quality education for children and young people with special educational needs.
To achieve this they have a superb, highly skilled and dedicated team. Which delivers a safe, supportive and challenging learning environment. That enables pupils to grow in an atmosphere of mutual respect, energy and enthusiasm. While recognising their individual needs and fostering a caring and creative environment.
Nethergate is sponsored by the Greenwood Academies Trust who currently have 37 open academies. Between them they help over 18,000 pupils from Nottingham, Leicester, Northamptonshire, Peterborough and Lincolnshire.
Supported Events & Fundraising
Supporting events & fundraising has long been a tradition for Tennants UK. Many of the best ideas for good causes, come from our staff. Additionally, our customers notify us of their events sometimes as well. And we are always delighted to give them our full support.

Bake Sale & Raffle

For Nethergate Academy we held a bake sale and raffle, with a top price of an extra days holiday.
Ukraine Appeal

We donated clothes, food, toiletries, medical and baby care items for displaced people in Ukraine.
Prostrate Cancer UK

Sponsored 300 mile bike ride by Account Manager Ian & the fund has raised £200,000 so far.
Cycle Malawi

Donation in support of MAN Truck & Bus teams 500km bike ride for Transaid.
Marie Currie

A quick sponsored Xmas Jumper & Onesie event was run in aid of the Marie Currie Charity.
Royal British Legion

Small donation to thank the Royal British Legion for 100 years of support for our Armed Forces.

Litter Wombles
To ensure their litter collectors stay safe, we produced some special road signs.
Maggie’s Centres

Screens & Stickers
To keep essential workers safe during Covid-19, we created a range of safety items.
Hell Oar High Water

Our sponsored team HOHW rowed 3000 miles across the Atlantic to raise money for charity.
Breakout for Ben
Sponsored Drive
Trust Ford staff travelled 20,00 miles during a sponsored drive, raising over £160,000.
Nottingham Pride
Bespoke Signs
So everyone knows what direction to go during all the fun, we printed special signage.
Hospitals Charity

Our Highways Team did the 50m Friar Tuck bike ride for Nottingham University Hospitals Charity.
Newark ½ Marathon
£150
Alongside colleagues from the Newark Striders Running Club, Steve completed the Half Marathon in 2½ hours. Not only did our Senior Compliance Manager do this on one of the hottest days of the year. But he also managed to raise funds for Maggie’s Cancer Centres at the same time – phenomenal.
