Plates By Method is the third number plate production widget on the Dashboard. This widget uses a Horizontal Bar Chart to shows the total number plates made by the merchants top branches or the current location. A hybrid chart, this widget displays both Made-Up Plate orders & Printed Plates figures.
Plates by Method Widget
The Plates by Method widget shows an overview of your number plate supply, combining outsourced & on-site production. This widget uses a horizontal bar chart to show how production was divided among branches. Ideal for partners that outsource some of their plate supply, the widget shows Made-Up Plate orders alongside Printed Plates.

Combining purchased orders & printed production data on Tennants Central makes sense for partners that consist of small locations & larger, busier branches.
Horizontal Bar Chart
On-site print data & made-up plate orders are combined to populate this Plates By Method bar chart. The chart can show 2 bars per location, with their size set by each method’s overall total. For easy viewing the bars are colour coded, Printed Plates are shown grey & Made-Up Plates orange.
A merchant level tool, this widget shows the top 5 branches but uses information from all locations.
Graph Key
The graph key uses the supply methods name as options to highlight specific plate supply types. Hovering over a supply method, will cause other to almost fade from view. While clicking a method instead, will remove that selection from view. Unclick selections to reset the bar chart.
Chart Bars & Tooltips
Hovering over an individual bar on the chart will lighten it, a popup tooltip will appear & display the supply total. While clicking a location’s bar will just darken and highlight it. Chart interactions can be combined with the graph key to locate specific location data.
Report
At the bottom of the widget is the Report Link. The shortcut links to a pre-configured Plates Summary report page for all locations under the current merchant. Details provided on the report has data from all branches including, last sync date, number of printed & made-up plates and overall supply numbers.
